What is recorded here

On a hillock, to the E of the Killarney-Kenmare Road and within a graveyard (KE066-082004-). There are no visible remains of the church. It was indicated on the 1846 OS 6-inch map as a cruciform church 'in ruins' (c. 20m E-W; c. 18m N-S) in the SW corner of the graveyard. Skinner (1945, 6) suggests that the remains of the old church was converted into a family mortuary chapel which now stands in the SE quadrant of the graveyard (see KE066-082004-). Some dressed jambstones around the door ope and head of the E window in this chapel are possibly from the earlier church.
