Originally underneath the garth wall in the cloister of the Augustinian Abbey (KE066-072001-) (OPW records). Subsequently placed lying flat on top of the N wall of the cloister garth. A dark-grey slate-like slab (L 1.33m; Wth 0.63m; T 0.15m) with an incised cross. The cross (L 0.9m; Wth c. 0.55m) is damaged and eroded at the base and sides and comprises an inner vertical incised line with a circle at the centre. The arms extend from a central circle to terminate in an expanded horseshoe shape. An outer incised line mirrors the inner line on either side. Similar cross-slabs at Clonmacnoise and Cong date to the 10th century. This slab is now missing. (Weaver 1995)
