What is recorded here

In pasture, on a SE-facing slope. A roughly circular area (diam. c. 60m) defined by two banks and an intervening fosse (Wth 3.8m). The inner earthen bank (Wth c. 7.4m; int. H 0.4m; ext. H 2.2m) is evident all round. The outer bank (Wth 5.1m; ext. H 1.7m) has a berm (Wth 2.1m; H 0.85m) around its internal perimeter. There are numerous breaches in both banks. There is a causeway entrance at E. The interior slopes steeply down to the SE with a break of slope at the centre, which divides the interior into NW and SE halves. A possible souterrain (KE066-032001-) is in the NE quadrant. There are farm buildings outside the outer bank at W and houses to the E and SW.
