Marked 'Gowlane Rock' on the OS maps, this stone lies prostrate in pasture on the summit of a low hill. It measures 2.35m x .65m x .65m, and stood in an upright position up to the early 1970s (local information). The pit in which it stood is still visible, and features in situ packing stones. When upright, the stone had a N-S orientation.
