An ogham stone at Laghtfinnan Penitential Station: This cairn... is located close to the top of a spur which extends NW from Drung Hill. It straddles the boundary of Gleensk and Kilkeehagh townlands, which is also a parish boundary. The ogham stone is located on a small platform located off-centre on the top of the cairn. The stone is 1.06m in maximum height and measures .33m x .2m in basal dimensions. The remains of an inscription on the NE angle was read by Macalister (1945, 227, no. 234) as: MAQI R[... . After the R there is `a single vowel notch...and possibly a second, after which everything is scaled away for 8.5'', and one vowel notch follows'. ((O'Sullivan and Sheehan 1996, no. 389)
