This potential feature was reported by Michael Connolly, County Archaeologist, Kerry County Council. It was identified by him during the course of an assessment of a 40 square mile area for the purpose of choosing a road route in 2000 to the north of Killarney. In area of young impenetrable forestry (unthinned). Reported to the Archaeological Survey of Ireland as an extant meandering bank. Deep land drain bounds forestry to E and S. Overhead power line (long-axis N-S) to E of forestry boundary at E. No potential archaeological feature depicted at this location upon historic mapping. Access not gained. Closest accessible point is c. 150m to E and S of NGR location provided.
