What is recorded here

In improved pasture, on a SW-facing slope. Reported to the Archaeological Survey of Ireland as the low remains of a large enclosure. This monument is present as a notable rise. Oval area (dims. 23m NE-SW; 12m NW-SE) defined by scarp (Wth 9m; H 1.6m) SW->N->NE; scarp (Wth 6m; H 1.3m) is best defined N->NE. Truncated by earth and stone field boundary (long axis NE-SW) across centre. Farm buildings and yard occupy area to S of boundary. Interior is level and grass covered. It is quite feasible that an enclosure could have been situated on this hillock and through land improvements could have been levelled out. A ringfort (KE058-070----) is located c. 60m to WNW. OS six inch map depicts a short field boundary (long axis E-W) adjacent to N; No visible surface trace. A contour is depicted upon OS mapping adjacent to S.
