In rough pasture, on a N-facing slope. A roughly rectangular burial ground (92m E-W; 68m N-S) enclosed by a well-constructed rubble stone wall (T 0.6m; H 1.6m) topped with vertical stone coping. The entrance gate is at the roadside to the W. Graves, which are largely unmarked, are visible as low mounds on the uneven surface. According to local information, the burial ground was in use from the early 19th century to the 1940s. The local community has recently erected seven plain white crosses in it. A plaque on the gate has the inscription 'St. John's Cemetery AD 1850'.
This burial ground is not indicated on the 1846 OS 6-inch map.
