What is recorded here

In pasture, on the upper N-facing slope of a ridge. A slightly raised roughly circular area (c. 34m N-S; c. 40m E-W) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 2.9m; int. H c. 0.7m; ext. H 1.14m) with an external fosse (Wth 1.5m; D 0.25m) W-N. The bank has been incorporated into the field boundary system E-W. The level interior is covered with overgrowth. A depression (D 0.6m) skirts the internal face of the bank W-N. A modern drain cuts into the external base of the bank N-E. Spoil from this drain is dumped in the interior.
