What is recorded here

In undulating pasture, on a gentle S-facing slope. A circular area (52m E-W) defined by an overgrown earth and stone bank (Wth 5.2m; int. H 1.1m; ext. H 1.1m) SSW-SSE and by a scarp SSE-SSW. There is a possible entrance (Wth 4m) at N. Other breaks occur in the bank at NE, SW and ESE. The interior slopes down towards the centre from the W, N and E. A N-S field boundary abuts the bank externally along the W arc. An E-W field boundary, with a lane on its S side, tangentially abuts the bank externally along the S arc. A subrectangular, hachured feature (c. 15m E-W; c. 10m N-S) abuts the S arc internally on the 1897 OS 6-inch map.
