Four ogham stones [KE057-107----, KE057-107002-, KE057-107003- KE057-107004-] were displayed by the Macgillycuddy of the Reeks at the Dublin Exhibtion in 1853. At least two of these (this and KE057-107----) were discovered in a souterrain in this townland (Macalister 1945, 208). The souterrain, not marked on the OS maps, is locally reputed to have been located on the NW side of Baunclune House, but no surface trace of it remains. Three of these ogham stones are in the National Museum of Ireland (Reg. No. W10-12; DU018-362----; DU018-363----; DU018-364----). The fourth stone (NMI Reg. no. W9) is in Kerry County Museum, Tralee (KCM LI992:31; KE029-320----). For this stone see DU018-362----. This pillar-shaped stone is at least 1.4m high and measures .3m x .16m at base. Macalister (1945, 209, no. 216) read the deeply cut inscription as: GOSOCTEAS MOSAC MAKINI. (O'Sullivan and Sheehan 1996, no. 908)
