What is recorded here

In pasture, on an E-W ridge with a view S over the valley of the Laune River. A circular area (42m N-S; 40m E-W) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 3.9m; int. H 1.2m; ext. H 2.4m). There is a possible entrance (Wth 2.8m) at NNW, a breach (Wth c. 2m) at SSE and a further breach at W. The level interior is raised (H 1.55m) above the external ground level. The interior is planted with birch trees. A low linear ridge (on a NNE-SSW axis) of earth and stone extends across the interior. A slightly raised oval area of earth and stone, with a central depression, occurs just inside the bank at SW and a limekiln is indicated at approximately this position on the 1846 OS 6-inch map. A disused trackway tangentially abuts the E arc. Another rath (KE057-057----) lies c. 120m to the E.
