In pasture, on a SW-facing slope with views over the valley of the Laune River to Magillycuddy's Reeks. A circular area (diam. 22m) defined by an earthen bank (Wth c. 4.2m; int. H c. 0.7m; ext. H c. 1.3m) SW-NE, and by a scarp (H 0.05m) NE-SW. The bank is incorporated into the field boundary system. According to local information, the rath was levelled in recent times and is known locally as a 'fort'.
