Internal diam. 31m N-S, 29.4m E-W Coombeg Fort/Cúm Beag: This roughly circular rath is located 235m E of KE056-011----. The bank is 1.5m high externally, averages 1m wide and falls .75m to the site's interior. An entrance, 4.2m wide, is located at NE. A stone-built souterrain (KE056-012002-) is locally reputed to have been present in the rath, but it was quarried away. The above description is derived from A. O'Sullivan and J. Sheehan (compilers), 'The Iveragh peninsula: an archaeological survey of South Kerry'. Cork University Press (1996), no. 464. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload: 30 July 2013
