What is recorded here

Possible building associated with Tralee Dominican friary (KE029-236001-) described by Cuppage (1986, 383) as follows; 'In 1584 the possessions of the Dominican Friary in Tralee included 'a house with 2 acres near the town of Dingle' (Archdall 1873, 2, 248). A field E of Dingle known as 'Garranabraher' has been identified as the location of this property (Hickson 1888, 445). There is no trace of any feature at the site and it seems likely that the foundation was not very extensive'. Compiled by: Caimin O'Brien Date of upload; 7 April 2022

This remains an important historical record, but the official description says the monument is no longer visible or has been destroyed.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
