Internal diam. 21.5m NW-SE, 20.5m NE-SW. Lissadranig: A circular univallate rath situated on level ground on the N side of the Trabeg inlet. The level interior is enclosed by an earthen bank and fosse, the latter replaced along the N sector by a laneway. The fosse is c. 2.7m wide at base and rises 1.9m to the crest of the bank. The latter is up to 1m high internally. The entrance lies in the E sector and is c. 2.2m wide. The 2 gaps at NE and NW appear to be secondary features. The above description is derived from J. Cuppage, ‘Corca Dhuibhne. Dingle Peninsula archaeological survey. Ballyferriter. Oidhreacht Chorca Dhuibhne’ (1986), no. 296. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload: 6 August 2013
