What is recorded here

On S slopes of Mount Eagle, overlooking Dingle Bay. A pair of conjoined huts of which only the uphill N part of the wall is traceable. D: estimated 4.2m and 4m. H: .4m. About 15 to 20m to S, at the junction of 3 field walls, a 3rd clochaun was noted on the OS maps and by Macalister (1899, 244). Very little survives. The above description is derived from J. Cuppage, ‘Corca Dhuibhne. Dingle Peninsula archaeological survey. Ballyferriter. Oidhreacht Chorca Dhuibhne’ (1986), no. 1291. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload: 5 August 2013
