Clochán Dubh: On a S facing slope on the E side of the Glanfahan river valley. An almost complete, circular hut of corbelled drystone construction. The lintelled doorway at SE is 1.55m high x .55m wide x .9m long, and a sunken passageway, 3.8m long x 2.2m wide x .95m deep, leads up to it on the outside. A lintelled aperture, at ground level in the inner wall face at S, is .52m high x .55m wide x at least 1.25m deep, and may lead to the souterrain (KE052-218001-) which was discovered about 3m S of the hut at the beginning of this century (Curran no.54). D: 5m. H: 3.5m. A short distance to NW of the hut is a possible bullaun stone (KE052-218002-), .63m high x .87m long x .45m wide, with a depression in its upper surface measuring .24m x .13m x .095m deep. About 6.65m to ESE of the 1st hut, the remains of a 2nd hut have been incorporated into a field wall and almost completely obscured by field clearance debris. D: c. 5m. H: 1.1m.
