What is recorded here

Tint Thaidhg: Directly N of the summit of the SW end of the Beennacouma-Slea Head ridge. Macalister (1899, 269-70) noted 7 oval, circular or square structures in all in this area, all very ruined and ranging from 2.4 to 1.2m in maximum dimensions. Only one structure KE052-142---- was located on this occasion. The above description is derived from J. Cuppage, ‘Corca Dhuibhne. Dingle Peninsula archaeological survey. Ballyferriter. Oidhreacht Chorca Dhuibhne’ (1986), no. 1217. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload: 5 August 2013

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.

The map shows the centre of the officially named townland area, not the monument. The government record does not identify the exact monument point.
