Leac na Ré: This cross-slab stands against the E side of a field fence about 50m to SE of the calluragh (KE052-105001-). It measures 1m in height x 1.03m in width x .2m in thickness. Its present S face is inscribed with a Greek cross with expanded terminals enclosed within a penannular circle, the ends of which curve downwards to form spiral motifs. Pendant from the cross is a stem, with an expanded end, which passes through the gap in the circle. The above description is derived from J. Cuppage, ‘Corca Dhuibhne. Dingle Peninsula archaeological survey. Ballyferriter. Oidhreacht Chorca Dhuibhne’ (1986), no. 861. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
