Marked on the 1st edition of the OS maps as a circular enclosure KE052-100---- with clochaun KE052-100001-, this site appears to have been considerably modified by 1895 (2nd edition, OS map), and no trace of the enclosure now survives.
The hut has also been partly destroyed. It was a circular corbelled drystone structure, 3.85m in diameter internally. The surviving wall is 1.75m high and 1.2m thick. Shells, animal bones and evidence of burning were discovered in the interior (Macalister 1899, 215-6; local information).
