What is recorded here

This lay loose beside another cross-inscribed stone (KE052-022002) in the burial ground (KE052-022001-) in the 19th century (Du Noyer, Antiquarian Sketches, vol.4, no.5). It was a roughly circular stone inscribed on one face with a Maltese cross within a circle. The above description is derived from J. Cuppage (compiler) 'Corca Dhuibhne. Dingle Peninsula archaeological survey.' Ballyferriter. Oidhreacht Chorca Dhuibhne (1986), no. 877. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
