This monument is situated on the NW slope and close to the floor of the valley between Mount Eagle and Croaghmarhin. The structure, which is partly set into the slope and apparently much concealed, can be interpreted as the remains of a wedge-tomb. A single stone to the NE and 3 others along the SW side probably represent outer-walling. An upright stone to the NW and a fallen stone close by to the SW may be the remains of a facade. Some of the many slabs which litter the enveloping mound may once have formed part of the tomb; others are undoubtedly the result of field clearance.
