In the 1840s a Captain Meredith took a stone with 'engraved letters or inscription' from a 'nearly defaced Danish Fort' in the townland of Gortshanavogh and put it 'in the building of Dicksgrove House' in Dicksgrove townland to the NE (OSNB, Killeentierna, no. 1, 11). The 'nearly defaced Danish Fort' may have been the rath (KE048-065----) but the stone has not been precisely located.
