What is recorded here

In level pasture, on a N-facing slope. This possible rath is indicated on the 1846 OS 6-inch map as a circular enclosure (diam. c. 45m). It is indicated on the 1897 OS 6-inch map as a circular enclosure (diam. c. 40m), open at NE where the terminals of the bank extend a short distance E to join a NNW-SSE field boundary. The remains consist of a poorly defined area (c. 50m E-W) defined by the slight remains of an arc of bank E-S, by a field boundary SW-W and by a natural scarp along the N arc. The Farranfore-Molahiffe railway, indicated on the 1897 OS 6-inch map abutting the SW arc of this possible rath, has since been removed.
