About 300m from the N shore of Castlemaine Harbour, and c. 30m W of a small S flowing stream, is a low upright measuring .6m in height, .84m in width and .29m in thickness; NE-SW. A series of linear markings on the upper surface, previously interpreted as 'pseudo-ogham' (CKFC 1939, 13 and 1941 and 1946), appear to be either natural or accidental.
