This site was identified as a rath by the Kerry Archaeological Survey. It is located in the SE corner of a field and is delimited to S and E by straight field fences. If this was originally a circular rath, then it has been severely modified. Its S half has been completely levelled and though the site is enclosed to N by an earthen bank, up to 1.75m high, the NE section of this runs in a fairly straight line in contrast to the curved outline of the NW section. The interior measures 17m N-S x c. 40m E-W and is raised slightly above the external ground level.
