What is recorded here

This cross-inscribed stone was found during repairs to the parapet of a bridge (National Grid ref: 41958, 102727) in Kilfountain townland, Co Kerry (OS 6-inch map 43). It is now in the Kerry County Museum, Tralee (object number KCM 2000:2) (Pers. comm. Helen Carroll, Curator, Kerry County Museum, Co. Kerry). See KE029-246---- for further details. Compiled by: Caimin O'Brien Date of upload: 22 June 2022

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.

The map shows the centre of the officially named townland area, not the monument. The government record does not identify the exact monument point.
