What is recorded here

A grass-grown earthen mound situated in rough, fairly marshy land on the S side of Gleann Mór. A wedge tomb, standing stone, possible early field system and other unclassified sites occur in the same valley (KE042-132----). The mound measures 9.2m E-W and 8m N-S at base and is a maximum of c. 1.5m high. The above description is derived from J. Cuppage, ‘Corca Dhuibhne. Dingle Peninsula archaeological survey. Ballyferriter. Oidhreacht Chorca Dhuibhne’ (1986), no. 215. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload: 4 August 2013
