What is recorded here

(6) Located a short distance from the S bank of the river, this feature consists of 2 upright slabs set 2.7m apart and parallel to each other, the area between being occupied by at least 5 prostrate stones. The upright stones stand .7 and .95m high; a 3rd stone along the S side of the feature appears to be set on edge. It is not clear what this feature represents. The above description is derived from J. Cuppage, ‘Corca Dhuibhne. Dingle Peninsula archaeological survey. Ballyferriter. Oidhreacht Chorca Dhuibhne’ (1986), no. 24. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload: 3 August 2013
