What is recorded here

Hut site described by Cuppage (1986, 128, no. 361) as follows; 'Situated on the lower SW slopes of Reenconnell, this site was not noted on the OS maps. It consists of a circular univallate ringfort [KE042-017----], within which are the remains of 2 conjoined huts [KE042-017002-]. An E-W laneway, c. 2m wide, cuts across the N sector of the fort but its N wall preserves the line of the original enclosure. The 2 roughly circular huts are located against the S side of the lane. The W hut measures c. 5.3m N-S x 4m internally. It is defined to S by a grass-grown stony bank, 0.6 to 1m high. To N it is defined by the lane wall, 1.7m high and 0.8m wide, which curves outwards here and was probably built on the line of the wall of the hut. There are breaks in the bank at W and S and a 1.4m wide gap at E leads into the 2nd hut [KE042-017002-]'.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
