What is recorded here

The monument was noted in 1986 by the Castleisland District Archaeological Survey as a levelled fulacht fia visible as a slight rise in a ploughed field (SMR file). According to the Castleisland Survey, the 'spread of burnt material (dims. 9m N-S x 6m E-W) was very obvious as a black stain against the normal soil colour. There was no indication of the possible location of the trough.' See attached Google Earth orthoimage taken 03/04/2021 Compiled by: Caimin O'Brien Date of upload: 25 April 2022

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
