'The minutes of a meeting of the County Kerry Field Club in November 1940 describe this site as follows:
"In one of the fields is a gallaun, now stretched, of sandstone. It lies on top of a low mound and is 23 (6.9m) feet long. About 100 yards to the south of this is the souterrain described in previous minutes, which leads into a large natural cave." The souterrain would appear to be that marked "Cave" on the OS maps [KE038-002001-] suggesting that the marked location is in the general area of this now destroyed site.'
