'A standing stone is recorded at this general location in the local parish history (In the Shadow of Sliabh Mis, 2001, 11). A photograph shows the stone to be of irregular shape, while it is described as having been of sandstone and approximately 1.5m in height (local information). The stone was extant up until the late 1960's at which time it was washed away by the sea.'
