'This is located on a sheltered shelf on the western side of Knockawaddra Mountain. This site has extensive views to the north and east over the surrounding mountain and bog. The land in this area is predominantly used for turf cutting, and some very rough grazing for sheep. The site survives as a low horseshoe-shaped mound, measuring 10.0m N-S by 9.00m E-W and has a maximum height of 1.00m. A trough area occurs in the centre and is 0.40m below the crest of the mound. Total dimensions of this trough area, which opens to the north are 3.00m N-S by 2.00m E-W. A small stream runs in a N-S direction down the mountainside c.50.0m to the west of this site. Probing with a ranging rod revealed this mound to be stone-filled.'
