See field inspection report (diary NF8, 164) (SMR file). According to the report, there is no local knowledge of these souterrains. The source of the information is Capt. D.B. O'Connell (see SMR file). This record was formerly classed as 'souterrains' in the SMR (1990), however, due to the uncertainty regarding these souterrains the classification has been changed to 'souterrains possible'.
The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
The map shows the centre of the officially named townland area, not the monument. The government record does not identify the exact monument point.
