There is a vague tradition that this site is a burial ground but the present remains cannot be classified from a surface inspection alone. A very roughly semi-circular area, 30m N-S x 10m E-W, is defined along the straight W side by the bank of the Finglas river and on the E side by a few boulders, which appear to be naturally positioned, and 8 upright stones which, along with a large boulder to N, form an almost straight line measuring c. 12.5m NNW-SSE. The stones are alternatively tall and short and range in height from 1.35 to .65m.
