This site was marked on the 2nd edition of the OS map as a circular mound. The landowner, who removed the remains about 15 years ago, described it as a circular band of loose stones enclosing a square structure which resembled the foundations of a house. It was c. 10 to 15m in diameter. On the basis of this description it seems likely that it was a small cashel. The site lies c. 250m from the seashore on the level coastal plain bordering the S side of Tralee Bay.
