In rough pasture (89m OD), on a NW-facing slope. Excellent views NW-> N->NE of Brandon Mountain range, Brandon Bay and Maharee Islands; overlooked by higher ground of Slievanea mountain to SW. A smooth and fractured sandstone rock outcrop (dims. 2.7m NE-SW; 1.9m NW-SE; H 0.9m) which comprises of a conspicuous arrangement of three naturally formed layers. A faint cup-and-ring-motif (overall diam. 17cm; cup diam. 7cm; cup D 6mm; ring Wth 1.5-2cm; ring D 1mm) is located at W edge of stone surface. Upper surface of stone is flaking into thin layers due to freeze-thaw action. This may suggest that there were other motifs which have deteriorated through natural processes. Rock art (KE035-073037-) is c. 55m to NNW.
