An Seabhac (1939, 227) records a souterrain in a ringfort in the townland of Ballynalacken. However, there are three raths (KE035-001----, KE035-005----, KE035-023----) in this townland and it is unclear to which of these raths he refers. (Cuppage 1986, 120, nos 334, 335; ibid. 218, no. 626).
