A circular univallate rath situated near the crest (212 feet/65m) of the low, generally level ridge which separates the lower reaches of the Owenmore and Scorid rivers. It is densely overgrown and the E half is impenetrable. The bank of earth and stones is a maximum of 1.4m high externally and 1m high internally and is 2.3m wide at base. The townland boundary wall bisects the site N-S. Two breaks in the bank at either end of the wall are probably contemporary with the construction of the latter. The original entrance may remain concealed by the dense vegetation along the E half of the enclosing bank. Curran (no.13) recorded an 'underground chamber' here.
