A roughly circular enclosure situated on a SE facing slope about 100m from the W shore of Brandon Bay. The vegetation in the interior is impenetrable and the enclosing bank could only be inspected in parts. The bank is composed of earth and stones but could originally have been a stone wall, now collapsed and grass-grown. Intermittent traces of drystone facing are visible along its inner face but only a single course is preserved. On the downslope side, the bank is revetted externally with drystone masonry to a height of 1.3m. The foundation for this walling appears to have been a natural outcrop of rock .8m high. A 6m wide terrace, outside the enclosure on the downslope side, is retained by a short stretch of drystone masonry. This site may be that described in the OSNB (Cloghane, book 1, 44) as a calluragh, 'in the form of a fort and circular... and about 2 feet high composed chiefly of stones'.
