What is recorded here

Levelled enclosure surveyed in 1987 by the Castleisland District Archaeological Survey and described as follows; 'in pastureland at the foot of a ridge of high ground which rises to the W, NW and N. To the east is a stream which flows south out of a small narrow sided valley running off to NNE. The site has been levelled along with surrounding field fences. A local man informed us that the fort was levelled c. 30 years ago'. Compiled by: Caimin O'Brien Date of upload: 5 April 2022
