'Three fulachtai fiadh are situated in a small, very marshy field c.150m north of the River Lee, in an area of low ground between two steep ridges..... all of these sites are covered with grass and reeds and contain substantial amounts of shattered red sandstone....[this] fulacht fiadh measures 15.0m N-S by 11.0m E-W and has an average height of 0.70m. A 1.0m wide entrance to the trough area opens to the east , the trough area itself measuring 5.0m N-S by 4.0m E-W, and is 0.40m below the crest of the mound.'
