'Located at the northern end of a marshy field at the base of rising ground that forms the western spur of the Stacks Mountains, the site affords expansive views to the southern half of the compass. This classic horseshoe mound is visible as a well drained area in a field of marsh grass. It measures 18m N-S, 17.30m E-W and is 0.85m in height. A trough area opens to the south-west and measures 5m by 3.50m. The soil in the area, where exposed by animals is black and contains charcoal.'
