'This is a kidney-shaped mound located in a wet marshy field, which does not appear to have been farmed in recent years Its overall dimensions are 12m N-S by 10m E-W by 1.20m in height. The trough area opens to the west and encloses an area which measures 4.50m N-S by 3.00m E-W. A small stream is located 10m to the south of the site. This stone filled mound is now covered by a mixture of grass and reeds.' Compiled by Michael Connolly for the Archaeological Survey of Ireland as part of a survey of the Lee Valley area in 1996-97.
