What is recorded here

This ogham stone fragment (L1992:86; NMI 1960:272) was discovered among stones from a demolished field fence in the townland of Brookhill (see KE065-105----). Of siliceous grit, it measures 0.33m x 0.12m x 0.07m and was apparently broken in antiquity. The inscription is pocked along one of the corner edges and reads: . . . . A MAQ LUG . . . (O'Sullivan and Sheehan 1996, 241, no. 909) Compiled by: Paul Walsh Date of upload: 23 January 2015

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
