In relation to the Ogham stone (KE025-002001-) Macalister (1945, 141) records that Hitchcock 'noticed another stone of small size close by with an inscription which he recently believed to have been recently cut. It seems to read M G 16 IVNE - on the face of the stone, and some "rude letters" on the other side, of which Graves, according to his notebook had a rubbing; he considered that they were "not worth reproducing".' According to Windele (1848, 490) the slab bore the letters M:C 16 June. There is no reason to accept this as an ogham stone and the present whereabouts of this stone are unknown. (Cuppage 1986, 248-50, no. 790 (2)).
