In pasture, on a S-facing slope. O’Connell (1938, 145) mentions that ‘two fields to the south of the fort [KE022-014----] and near the river, there is a large squat gallaun, shaped roughly like a chair. The local story is that ‘Finn McCool’ threw it there from the top of a nearby hill’. No visible surface trace of the standing stone was evident when surveyed in 1985 and the landowner did not have any knowledge of its existence.
