In pasture, on relatively level terrain at the base of an N-facing slope. Depicted as a circular banked enclosure (diam. c. 33m) on the 1st (1841) edition of the OS 6-inch map. It is similarly depicted on later OS map editions. When visited in 1985 the outline of the enclosing bank (int. H 0.25m; ext. H 0.35m) was most obvious SSW-NNE and it was traceable E-SSW. A slight depression of a wide fosse (Wth 4m; D 0.3m) could be discerned E-SW. The interior was level and clear of vegetation cover.
